Welcome to my site and thank you for stopping by - I am a semi-retired photographer who enjoys sharing photos of places I 've been and roads I've traveled. If your interests are people, wildlife, scenic views and the like, you're invited to view my galleries and come along for the ride... There are a lot of wild life photographs out there, but this is the first porcupine that I've seen! And it is such a great image! L/F/FB
Dyle Warren replied:
Thank you Shelley! This little guy was having dinner along the side of the road in Denali, Alaska. Two Japanese tourists spotted him first...we stopped to see what they were photographing...it was about 11:00 pm. I was only about three feet from him and was elated to see how cute he was as I'd never seen a porcupine up close. When he stopped eating and turned around to go back into the woods that's when I thought it best to back off!

This is such an awesome image. I hope you weren't very close..that could be dangerous. Fabulous detail.
Dyle Warren replied:
Glad you like this...thank you! I was a bit close...maybe three feet. When he stopped and turned around to go deeper into the woods that's when I split!
